Platt Hall Garden Project, Tuesdays 11-4pm
There’s movement and life again at Platt Hall!
The renovations have long continued inside, and now they’ve begun outside too as the Hall gardens begin to take shape. Imagine, the work you do now, the flowers you plant, and the friendships you’ll make, inspiring the brand new community forming around this historic gem.
This is a brilliant time to get involved, just come along and say hello!
All skill levels welcome, tea and coffee provided.
Shakey Gardeners, Thursday 9-12pm
Sometimes easy to miss, but always worth visiting, the Shakespearean Garden provides a different pace to the rest of Plattfields. Tucked away, behind a wall, is a quiet corner the FoPF particularly cherish.
Come down and join our group of dedicated, hard working gardeners who’s mission it is to restore the Garden to its magnificent best. There’s lots to do, weeding, digging, cutting, mulching and planting, but the results will be worth every blister!
Volunteer Sunday, Last Sunday of month 1-4pm
Head along to our monthly volunteer meet up.
We look to use this regular spot as a way to focus on smaller but impactful projects. This might include maintaining our historic orchard, building natural fencing, clearing scrub and later in the season, apple and pear picking (for scrumpy and perry making!).
Currently, we’re building compost bays for the Shakespearean Garden.
If you’re looking to help out, just come along.
